Hours after Hindenburg Research levelled some serious allegations of accounting fraud, stock manipulation, and money laundering against the Adani Group, the Group released a statement countering these allegations. The Adani Group CFO Jugeshinder Singh said the malicious allegations were timed to adversely impact the `₹20,000-Cr FPO of Adani Enterprises which opens for retail investors on Jan 27. Interestingly, Hindenburg Research has said that it has shorted Adani Group company shares.
